Same State Full Suite: Privacy Policy

Effective: October 20, 2026 Who I am: Levi Eck, an individual in California who sells the Same State Full Suite under his own name (Licensor: Levi Eck). Contact: samestateguide@outlook.com.

This policy covers the Same State Full Suite: its store, license, privacy and thank-you pages, the download service, the Full Suite guide, the copy of the Same State Guide that comes with it, and the starter kit. It also explains what the starter kit and the Guide's free code do with your data. If you buy only the Same State Guide, the Same State Guide's own privacy policy applies: https://samestateguide.com/privacy.html.

1. Link (Stripe) runs checkout

Link (Sold through Link, LLC, a Stripe affiliate) is the merchant of record. It runs checkout, takes your payment, calculates and remits sales tax and VAT, sends your receipt, and handles payment support, refunds and chargebacks. Stripe processes the payment and uses the information it collects as an independent business, under its own privacy policy: https://stripe.com/privacy. I never see your full card number.

2. What I get, and why

After you buy, Link shares order information with me. This can include:

• your name and email address (and phone number, if you give one)
• your billing address and country
• your tax ID, if you enter one
• limited payment details, such as card brand and last four digits
• order details: product, price, tax, date, order number, and any refund or dispute status

I use this to deliver the Full Suite, answer support emails, fix files that don't work, handle refunds, and keep the business and tax records the law requires. If you bought the Same State Guide on its own and later buy the Full Suite, I also use the email address on both orders to match them for the upgrade credit. I don't sell or rent your information, and I don't "share" it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

If you email me, I keep your email and my reply so I can help you.

If you ask Link or Stripe to delete your data, Stripe also deletes it from my Stripe account and tells me. I'll delete any copies I keep elsewhere, except records the law requires me to keep.

3. Email

I don't send marketing email or newsletters. I only email you about your order, or in reply when you contact me. Buying the Full Suite doesn't sign you up for anything.

4. Hosting, cookies and analytics

I don't run analytics, ads or tracking on my pages.

The store, license, privacy and thank-you pages are hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub may log your IP address and other technical data when you visit them, for security purposes, under GitHub's privacy statement: https://docs.github.com/en/site-policy/privacy-policies/github-general-privacy-statement.

The download links on the thank-you page come from a small download service I run on Modal, a cloud hosting provider. The service:

• looks up your order with Stripe to check that it's paid and which files it includes
• gives you one single-use download link per file, which expires after 15 minutes
• counts downloads for each file in your order (up to 5 each, within 7 days of purchase)

To do that, it keeps only your order's ID number with a download count for each file, and the single-use codes from used download links. It doesn't keep your name, email address or payment details. Its own logs record error types and, if a paid order doesn't match what I sell, the last 6 characters of the order ID so I can review it for a refund. Modal may keep technical logs, such as IP addresses, under its own privacy policy: https://modal.com/legal/privacy-policy.

Link's checkout page may use cookies under Stripe's Cookie Policy.

5. How long I keep it

• Order records: as long as tax and accounting law requires. US federal tax rules generally require at least 3 years, and some situations require longer.
• Support emails: up to 1 year after the last message.
• Download counters and used link codes: they hold only an order ID number, a count or a code. The download service doesn't set an end date for them.

6. Your choices and requests

Email samestateguide@outlook.com (Licensor: Levi Eck) to ask what I have about you, to correct it, or to delete it (except records I must keep by law). I'll reply within 30 days and may need to confirm the request came from you. For checkout and payment data, you can also contact Link support (https://support.link.com) or Stripe's Privacy Center. California residents may use these rights under California law, and I won't treat you differently for using them. CalOPPA "Do Not Track": I don't track you across other sites, so I don't respond differently to Do Not Track signals.

7. The Same State Guide's free code runs on your machine

The Same State code that comes with the Same State Guide is software you run yourself. It isn't a service I run.

• It sends nothing to me. I don't receive your notes, questions, drafts or writing samples.
• By default it runs on your own computer, and nothing leaves that machine.
• Your data goes somewhere else only if you turn that on yourself. Examples include a cloud GPU account, a cloud drive you connect with your own app registration, a hosted AI service, or a server on another computer, including another computer on your own home network. Each of these needs the kit's off-machine opt-in setting, and some also need a second setting.
• One case the kit can't detect: if you point the local model setting at an Ollama "cloud" model, Ollama itself sends your prompts to its servers under its own terms. Use a local model if you want everything to stay on your computer. The kit's only automatic network call is a local check to Ollama on your own computer, and it carries no notes.
• Once you send data to a provider, that provider handles it under its own terms, not this policy.

7A. The Full Suite starter kit runs on your accounts

The Full Suite includes starter code that you run yourself, in accounts you own: your Modal account, your own Microsoft app registration and your personal OneDrive and, if you use the optional copy, your personal Google account. Your bots run in your own Grok Bot account. None of this is a service I run.

• It sends nothing to me. I don't receive your vault, your notes, your questions, your search results, your drafts, your sign-in tokens or any usage data. The kit has no analytics, and it turns off the usage reporting of the libraries it uses.
• Where your data goes: the kit reads your vault folder from your OneDrive, keeps a search index of your notes in your own Modal account, and, if you turn on the copy, writes a copy of your vault into a folder it creates in your own Google Drive. It doesn't send email or messages.
• Sign-ins: the kit's sign-in tokens (for your Microsoft app and for Google) live only in your Modal account's secret store. If you connect Grok Bot's OneDrive connector, that sign-in is held by Grok Bot, not by me or the kit.
• What it keeps: a short event log in your Modal account (time, which of your tokens asked, sizes, counts and timing, never your question or note text), deleted after 30 days.
• Your bots are separate. The kit returns note excerpts to the bots and apps you give a token to. What those bots do with the excerpts, including sending them to an AI model provider, is up to you and that provider's terms, not this policy.
• Downloads: when you build it, your Modal account downloads the Ollama software and the embedding model from their publishers. If you choose an optional rerank model, it's downloaded from its publisher.
• Modal, Microsoft, Google, Grok Bot and the other providers handle your data under their own terms and privacy policies.

8. Children

The Full Suite isn't for children under 13. I don't knowingly collect their information.

9. Changes

If I change this policy, I'll update the effective date above. If a change is significant, I'll note it on the store page. Changes apply going forward.
